What Crix is
Crix is an Android application that captures video from your phone and publishes it to a live streaming service you choose, optionally composited with a web page you supply. It is provided by Aftrix.
Using it means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
You need your own accounts
Crix has no account system. Broadcasting requires your own YouTube channel, Facebook account or Page, or your own RTMP service. Your use of those is governed by their terms — including YouTube's Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy, and Meta's Terms of Service. Crix does not change or override any of them, and cannot restore access if a platform suspends you.
Crix Pro, and how billing works
Crix is free to install and free to set up. Crix Pro, an auto-renewing subscription, is required to choose a broadcast destination and go live. Everything before that — the viewfinder, your scoring overlay, the corner bug, camera and quality settings — is free and is not time-limited.
- Price. $9.99 per month in the United States. Elsewhere, Google Play sets the local price and currency, and the app always shows the price that actually applies to you before you buy.
- Free trial. New subscribers get 7 days free. Unless you cancel before the trial ends it converts to a paid month automatically.
- Renewal. The subscription renews every month until you cancel. Google charges your Play account.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep Pro until the period you have already paid for ends. There is no cancellation fee.
- Payment and refunds are handled by Google, not by us. We never see or store your card details. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy — ask us and we will support a request, but the decision is Google's.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Google will notify you and you must consent before it applies to your subscription.
If you cancel or a payment fails, Crix returns to its free state: setting up still works, broadcasting stops. Nothing you have configured is deleted.
What you broadcast is yours, and your responsibility
You keep all rights in what you film. You are also responsible for it. In particular, you confirm that you have the right to film and broadcast the match, the ground and the people in shot, and that doing so complies with the rules of your club, league and ground, the law where you are, and the platform you publish to.
Do not use Crix to broadcast anything unlawful, to infringe anyone's rights, or to record people who have not consented where their consent is required.
Third-party overlay pages
The overlay is a web page hosted by whoever you point the app at — typically your scoring provider. Crix renders it; it does not create, control, verify or endorse it. Whether it is accurate, available, or appropriate is between you and that provider. Only use links you trust and are entitled to use.
Availability
Crix is provided as-is. Live streaming from a phone depends on your camera, your battery, your mobile signal and services we do not run. We cannot promise that a broadcast will start, that it will not stop, or that it will look the way you expect. Do not rely on Crix where a failed broadcast would cause you loss — and for anything that matters, test the whole chain before match day.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aftrix is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Crix, including lost recordings, missed broadcasts, or platform account action taken against you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and ending
These terms may change; the date above will be updated. You may stop using Crix at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the app or any of its features.
